Built on grit, honey, and a promise kept.
My dad and I had plans to get into beekeeping together. We talked about it, looked forward to it — something to build side by side. He passed away before we ever had the chance to establish our first colonies.
So I started anyway. For him, and in a way, still with him.
Bootstrap Beekeeping grew out of that decision. It's not a polished operation with a warehouse and a team behind it. It's me, my hives, my hands, and everything I've worked to learn — through training, research, and the bees themselves, who are patient teachers if you're willing to pay attention.
This site exists for the people figuring it out on a budget and on their own terms — without pretense, without expensive shortcuts, and without anyone telling them they need more gear before they're ready. If you're new to beekeeping, or just thinking about it, you belong here.
We're just getting started. There's more to come.
